While this looks like something that’s been stolen from a Microsoft Wallpaper library, it’s not. Standing alone in a field by a tree, this lonely cow was blissfully unaware of the happenings on the canal at the foot of the field.
Out on the horizon, behind the fishing boats toiling at their early morning business, was the beginnings of a sunrise. To the left was towering Mount Agung covered in morning cloud, and tropical flowers framed every view.
Goannas are found all over Noosa Biosphere Reserve. We spotted this one at the picnic area near Harry’s Hut while on a tour of the Everglades.
