The Eye of the Tiger… and Cub

Even if you’re not that into big cats, this charming image would warm the cockles of the hardest heart.

We wrote in August last year about the dwindling tiger population in India, one of the last havens for the majestic animal, and the government’s plans to turn one of their last padding grounds into an ecotourism destination.

But it’s photos like this one that keep the public interested in the tigers’ plight.

It would be a sad day indeed to see them disappear.

If you’d like to get involved in tiger conservation while you’re travelling, Corbett Hideaway in India has ongoing initiatives to help preserve the local tiger populations. Based on the foothills of the Himalayas, Corbett Hideaway offers onsite accommodation and the opportunity to join one of their wildlife safaris.

  1. Tigers are magnificent creatures and this photo is very touching with a mother tiger and her baby.
It is a reminder that we need to do all we can to help save the Tiger from becoming extinct.

    • Too true!

Some projects are amazing, and I take my hat off to the people who dedicate their life to ensuring their prolonged survival.
